Domain transfer

1. Customer holder

The Customer is the recorded holder of every customer domain. VB Websites must use the Customer's correct legal-entity or natural-person details and may act as reseller, registrar contact or technical manager only within the authority recorded in the order.

The Customer is responsible for accurate holder and contact details and for following the applicable registry terms. For a .nl domain, the Customer must be shown and must accept the current SIDN terms for .nl registrants. For .com, .org and .net, the Customer must be shown and must accept the domain registration agreement of our registrar Openprovider; the ICANN registrant rights and responsibilities also apply. For .eu, the Customer must be shown and must accept the EURid terms, and the final checkout must also record Customer eligibility evidence based on establishment, residence or citizenship. No .eu registration may proceed while those requirements are unresolved.

2. Registration

The selected domain is checked before annual payment and again immediately before registration. Availability is not a guarantee. Payment does not reserve the domain. VB Websites registers only the exact accepted domain after confirmed annual payment and records the provider result, price, terms version and holder details.

If the exact domain becomes unavailable, the Customer receives the approved reselection or the applicable refund under the cancellation and refund terms. VB Websites must not silently substitute a different domain.

3. Transfer

An existing-domain transfer accepts one registered domain and may require a transfer token or authorisation code. The Customer requests the token from the current registrar and authorises VB Websites to execute the transfer through the approved provider flow. An operator must verify ownership, transfer support, token, terms, renewal timing and price evidence before manual completion.

The Customer may transfer the domain to another registrar by emailing support@vbwebsites.nl. VB Websites supplies the token route, relevant DNS/mail information and reasonable transfer assistance without an exit fee, after proportionate authority verification. A transfer is not withheld for an unrelated payment dispute. For .nl, VB Websites coordinates with the registrar to meet SIDN's requirement to supply the transfer token within five days of the holder's request; the SIDN transfer procedure also explains escalation if the registrar fails to cooperate. For .com, .org, .net and .eu the Customer requests the authorisation code from VB Websites, which supplies it within five days. For .com, .org and .net a transfer may be refused during the first 60 days after registration or after a change of holder.

Only the holder can make changes around a domain, and every extension requires a transfer token for a move to another registrar. The Customer remains bound by its separate registrar/service agreement even after a registry transfer unless that agreement says otherwise. A transfer may temporarily affect website and email availability; we coordinate the transition and settings.

4. Termination and renewal

One eligible domain's registration and renewal are included while the annual package continues. At cancellation or plan withdrawal, VB Websites explains the package end date, separate registry expiry, transfer deadline and mail/DNS consequences. The Customer may transfer to a new registrar, expressly agree to separately priced continued registration if offered, or instruct cancellation under registry rules. There is no automatic paid replacement product or indefinite free renewal after package end.

VB Websites does not delete the domain early merely because the website plan ends. Where the Customer does not respond, it sends a final expiry warning and explains that registration can expire at the registry end date without renewal. It follows the applicable registry notice and cancellation procedure, preserves the transfer route while available, and does not let an unrelated support or payment dispute obstruct transfer. Website, mailbox and domain dates may differ and must be stated individually.
